Reaching Villages….On Wheels!

THE VISION for EVANGELISM

As the Lord has blessed the years of fruitful ministry in India, the one vision that we have remained faith-ful to is teaching and equipping the Indians to lead their nation. We have been sowing this seed and the Lord is blessing the churches all over India.

As the needs continue to grow in the ministry, one thing that is clear is that we need to continue to raise up men and women who will take the gospel to every corner of India. In many areas we now have established churches, and many of these churches are doing all that they can by the power of the Holy Spirit to take the Gospel to surrounding villages. Some of these Churches have asked us to pray about a specific need. Right now a pastor can reach about 10 villages a month, mostly walking, some on bicycle and, on rare occasion, by public transport. But, if the church had a tool like a motorcycle, the pastor would be equipped to reach 40 villages a month. The hours spent walking or waiting for public transport now can be redeemed and spent to take the Good News to those villages where some have never heard of Jesus!

Would you pray with me as we pray for 10 pastors to be able to receive these motorcycles? A motorcycle in India is what we would call a moped in the US, basically a 100CC bike that gives over 90 kilometers (54 miles) per liter of gas The pastors and churches that have been praying for this “tool” are able to support the gasoline and maintenance expenses.

The cost is $ 1500.00 per motorcycle, or $ 125.00 per month for one year.

It may not be possible for you to go to India, but it may be very possible that you can “SEND” one of these pastors.
