Progress Report: Koinonia Medical Clinic

Thank God for giving me an opportunity to serve in this medical ministry.

We have opened this clinic from January 2010 and since then God is helping me to treat all types of patients. We get small children, young boys and girls, all age group women and senior citizens.

The patients who receive treatment from me suffer from hypertension, diabetics, malaria, typhoid, dengue, skin infections, digestive problems, respiratory tract infections. We have found anaemia and malnutrition in women and children.

We give glory to God for patients and for an opportunity to serve suffering people and to share Jesus Christ. Most of my patients are slum dwellers and they live under the poverty line. They are uneducated and have no regular income. They work on daily wages. I do charge 25% of the cost of treatment, but many cannot pay for the required medicine and we treat them free of cost.  I dispense medicine to our regular patients and to those with very serious conditions. I also pray for every patient. It is wonderful to know that many get healing and they recover fully.

I have been convinced that God has chosen me for this noble medical profession and has therefore provided wisdom to me, loves me and cares for me.

One patient under the treatment of another doctor was suffering from a wound by broken sharp piece of glass. This patient was restless and having unbearable pain and he had no money, so his doctor referred him to me for free treatment. God helped me to find out that sharp glass piece which was deep into his feet. I did my best to take out that piece out of his flesh and provided bandage and medicine. He was recovered in few days, we prayed for him and God healed him.

Another 30-year-old woman was suffering from skin disease. She could not get relief by treatment of many doctors. One day she visited my clinic and I gave her skin ointment and she was fully recovered. Glory to God for this type of effective service. I am thankful to God for his great help in my ministry.

I would like to thank all the families of the Koinonia Fellowships around the world for their prayers for me and for the ministry of the medical clinic in Pune.

I do appreciate the work undertaken by the team members of the medical mission of India. Medical team has done a very good thing to raise funds to send medicines and instruments for our clinic. This has helped us to continue our work of healing and keeps the door open to share the Gospel of Christ to the patients.

Please continue to pray for me, so that I shall be able to fulfill the will and plan of God for my life. I have committed my life to this ministry and I feel very much accountable to God for my faithful ministry. I and my husband Michel are praying for you all.
