Help Build a Village Church!

We have many fellowships all over India that do not have a place to worship.   They gather in homes that are often not big enough to accommodate the crowds that come to hear the Word. Many folks end up sitting outside in the hot sun or even in the monsoon rains.

It costs between $7,500 and $10,000 to build a village church.  We ask the Village to donate the land for us to build on, and construct our churches with brick and cement to be maintenance-free.  They are structures that will stand as a witness among the heathen as a place that brings the Good News of hope and salvation to the lost.

We built our first church in Kumbefal, India almost ten years ago.

Land is very expensive in India and most of the time its two to three times more than the cost of the building. When the authorities concerned give a small piece of property to Koinonia Fellowship Ministries of India, we register the land under our Trust and therefore it will permanently belong to the local congregation.

Our experience tells us that on average Village Authorities will donate 1500 to 2000 square feet of property. We can build approximately 1200 to 1500 sq feet. The structure is very basic – a large Hall with attached restrooms. The construction materials used are brick and plaster with a metal roof. The floor is normally finished off with ceramic tiles.

Many of our churches have land available and secured, but they cannot take possession of it, because they want to make sure they build the church within a reasonable amount of time after the Hindus had donated the land for the express purpose of erecting the church building.

Pray about building a Village Church. You can help put over 200 saints under a roof where they would be able to worship our Almighty God. Those prayers and blessings will directly reach you and many for years to come.
