How You Can Get Involved

There are many opportunities for you to support the India Ministry:

Ambassador: You have a heart for India. You may or may not be able to travel, but you love sharing about India - the culture, people, ministry, students and pastors. Pray about being an Ambassador. In this role, you will organize small groups, visit various churches, and create opportunities to share the India Ministry at events both small and large. Your goal is to get other saints praying, supporting and visiting India. It doesn’t matter where you are located in the US, Canada or Europe, you can be the conduit for India Ministry in your area. Long Term Missions: You have been praying for God’s will for your life. You have been preparing yourself for the mission field. If you can teach English as a Second Language (TESOL), or have the gift and skills to teach at KSOM as a full time faculty, we have the opportunity for you to go to India for six month periods. You must be called, have two years experience teaching consistently in a Church or college setting and be able to support yourself or raise the necessary support to be a Missionary.

Short Term Missions: Individually or as a Church, you have been praying about how to get involved in an overseas mission. We can provide the opportunity for you as an individual, family, or church group to visit India and serve in cities, towns and villages. Short term missions are usually two to three weeks. Depending on the group and their gifts and talents we will put together a schedule for you to minister in churches, preaching the Gospel, sharing with children, working with youth and ministering to women’s groups. Several teams of pastors and teachers have taken advantage of this opportunity and every one of them comes back with a heart for India and life-changing experiences, stories and get others involved in this ministry. This is an excellent way to introduce your Church, Pastors, lay individuals, and families to overseas mission opportunities.

Adopting a Pastor ($40.00 a month): You can help a native pastor visit several villages every week. Most of our pastors walk several miles every day from village to village, town to town to share the Gospel. With your support they are able to get access to local transportation. Now instead of visiting one village a day, they are able to be in three villages or several towns throughout one week. The end result – many hear the Gospel and many more are reached with your help. Adopting a KSOM Student ($40.00 a month): you are investing in the second generation. As the Lord tarries, we are preparing young men and women to Plant Churches and lead the Church in India. It is significantly important to raise the next generation to serve the Lord in India. We have seen tremendous blessings from the KSOM students who have graduated and are now pastoring churches all over India. This support helps them to get established the first year out of KSOM. 

Medical Missions: Long Term and Short Term
Sponsoring an ongoing Medical Clinic: We have opened a storefront medical clinic in Pune, India. This clinic gives us a permanent base for all long and short-term medical missions. Click the Donate button then select the Medical Mission.

Short Term Medical Missions Teams: The Lord is putting together a team of saints gifted in the areas of dentistry, general medicine, pharmacy, nursing and support for a medical missions trip during the first two weeks of January 2010. The team will visit various day clinics and have plenty of opportunity to serve the physical and spiritual needs of the Indian people. Skilled Trades: Short Term Missions using your gift of Practical Trade.
Have you ever said, I can’t teach the Bible but I can teach practical trade? Visit KSOM in India and teach the students practical skills such as Carpentry, Plumbing, Electrical, Laying Tiles, trouble shooting, desktop computers, small engine repairs, etc. We are continuously looking for Saints that are gifted in this area.
