History

The Koinonia Ministry to India began in 1996 by prayerfully putting into action the vision the Lord gave Pastor Ben Hiwale, and confirming what the Lord showed Pastor Raymond Viola on his first trip to India. We started supporting a group of 5 to 7 pastors who were already engaged in ministry. In 1997, we invited 22 pastors to the first Koinonia Pastors Conference to lay the foundation of our vision and equip this group of brothers with the Word of God.

The Lord miraculously opened a way for Koinonia Fellowship of India to get a Registration with the Government of India. Today, the Lord has raised up over 90 fellowships in 16 states across northern India. Each of them teach the Word of God line upon line, precept upon precept. We send printed materials such as Bible study outlines that are copied and distributed throughout India so that the pastors have a guide to follow as they feed the flock of God that is among them.

As a result, the Lord is bringing many souls into His Kingdom. People are getting saved on buses, trains, in villages, towns, and cities. The Spirit of God is flowing like never before.

For the future, we will continue providing spiritual leadership by teaching and encouraging the brothers to “contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints,” Jude 1:3.
